first day at calumet!

yesterday was my first day of work at the calumet library!! i didn't realize how excited i was until i was being walked around by the ms. rita mayfield, library director. i got strangely sad when she told me that she'll be leaving on friday and will be getting replaced by a new director. she said that this is a good change though so i assume she quit of her own volition. it seems like a lot of employees left a while ago and they've been filling spots. my acting supervisor says he and some others have been doing adult service jobs since they've been vacant. nevertheless the people seem nice and like they enjoy working there. at the library they use punch time machine, where the paper slides through and makes a stamp on the time card, and i genuinely felt as if i was taken back in time. i didn't do much my first day. i spent most of the time clearing my desk area and sorting through the junk drawers. i also found the key to the locked drawer in the photo. i plan on doing a lot to make the space my own starting with getting some of my own stationary but that'll come later. i did make the november calendar for the library events and sorted through the attendance sheets for this months events. the binder thats being used rn is kinda ticking me off so i picked up this big 3 inch binder from prairie (the sign said help yourself so...) that i'll put all those papers in.

during the last 15 minutes i realized that i forgot to get my photos printed for this project in my art appreciation class. luckily walgreens does same day printing so my photos were done at like 7:45 and before that i stopped at walmart to get a posterboard and glue.

when i got home i ordered some black slacks off of mercari because somehow i only own one pair of black pants and they're baggy asf. i got the same pants that i gotten from village discount just instead of grey they're black.
