saturday with mommyyy

so mom and i had a very busy day. it started with us going to the dmv on 99th street to renew the license plates on my car (which apparently have been expired since 2022 thanks for the heads up dad) and we were almost successful but uncle benson had neglected to sign the lease so we had to "go to his job and get him to sign it". so we killed some time by going to the church and letting mom get some work done. those adults at the church are so incompetent istg no wonder pastor walks all over them. mom acts like saying no to them would kill her so we stayed a bit too long and almost weren't able to get the plates. luckily since we had done most of the paperwork the first time we came they let us in. the plates cost $500 in total but it was worth it since now i can drive without worrying about a cop getting too close to me.

then after that i convinced mom to take me to this vintage market happening up north in avondale. it was held in this factory turned brewery which was very overstimulating when i first walked in but i got used to it eventually. since it was a $10 and under thing the pieces were pretty underwhelming. i did find this simple gold belt for $5 (which upon further inspection at home actually has silver in the center but whatever we move) and the cutest white babydoll set. since it was a lil damaged the seller gave me both for $5. i'm excited to use my new sewing skills to fix it. mom really enjoyed herself but she loves when anything costs little money. afterwards on the way to dinner she told me to keep an eye out for the next one so we can bring auntie darlene. thennn we went to tacotlan which was like a 10 minute drive from the fest, i was worried that since keith lee had just reviewed them that it would be a long wait but we got seated super quick. the food was bombbb hands down the best birria tacos i've had. SUPER juicy and flavorful. and i'm happy to say that horchata has grown on me :) will definitely be my go to drink order at mexican resturants now.

after that we headed home and i posted a dance tiktkok to "touch" which i quickly privated😭😭 and mom made me try on these clothes she got me from the market for church.

other update: after going through two rounds of inteviews at markham library i was sadly rejected 

first sewing project!

so today mom and i went to prairie to meet with the financial advisor. my financial aid is currently on termination due to my bad gpa but luckily all i have to do is write an appeal letter to some committee describing why i failed and what not. the advisor told me that since it's my first time being on termination the committee will definitely allow me another chance.

then later that day i went to the library for a sewing event. i brought my machine and the teacher (miss. lola) helped me understand it better. she also told me that i need to oil the gears inside so that they run smoothly and offered to help me with that when i come again. there was also this girl who reminded me so much of yadira (in height, tone, and race) and i'm like 99 sure she was flirting with me. her first words to me were "hey pretty lady". she also brought me hot chocolate and kept coming over to my station. i would've liked to talk more (and actually get her name) but i was so behind everyone else on my eye mask cause of my bobbin problems. i'm unsure of her age but she's definitely over 17. she was really cool and asked me if i was gonna be at the next sewing event next month. although she's not my type i still wanna be friends since i don't have a lot of sapphic ones.

 

day interrupted

today i was supposed to have zero plans but one of the employees had gone AWOL and we had to fill in for the entire day 🙄  it was super dead since it was a wednesday but i did get to go to pink and finally try on the super push up bra. it fit perfect and so did another wireless one. but i couldn't get it since mom has a giftcard she wants me to use but it's cool i'll just get them tmrw. i also got some nice flowy pants from h&m though i considered returning them because i thought they were on sale for $8 but they were actually $15 (on sale but still). i've decided to keep them though because they are nice pants

i also started playing this new rpg game called "zenless zone zero". i won't lie i was definitely experiencing some fomo since i was getting lots of edits on my fyp and it came out on the 4th so i thought "why not be one of the ogs?" anyways the storyline is solid and the characters are cute. although i hate that i can't edit the main characters especially since they don't even do shit.
